When performing with other musicians, it is hard to think of anything that makes you feel so good: you are in this magical world that non-musicians can’t imagine or experience.

Husband and wife team, Chris and Lisa Ward opened the The Rock Project, Basildon in 2018 and run junior, senior and adult sessions.

Chris is a piano teacher and an examiner for RSL Awards (Rockschool) and International Baccalaureate .
With a degree in Music and German, he has many years gigging experience in the UK and abroad and has also accompanied some well-known artists (Chubby Checker, Samantha Fox, Anthony Costa and Simon Webbe from Blue).

Lisa heads up the social media side of the Rock Project, Basildon. She also plays piano and saxophone, but has a professional background working with children in schools and in children's social services.

These sessions enable us to do what we love for a living and it allows us to pass on the pleasure of music-making to others.
